Public Information Centre to be held on June 1

Township of Severn is undertaking a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for the expansion of the Coldwater Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and the Main Sewage Pumping Station (SPS). The Class EA will identify and evaluate options for increasing the wastewater pumping and treatment capacity to accommodate anticipated growth in Coldwater.

Notice of watermain flushing in Coldwater May 10 and 11

Notice details

Watermain flushing will take place in Coldwater on Wednesday, May 10 and Thursday, May 11 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. 

Watermain flushing is an important preventative maintenance activity that:

• removes mineral and sediment build up from the watermains
• allows Severn to deliver the highest quality water possible to our community
• ensures proper operation of the hydrant

Some discolouration of water or intermittent drops in water pressure may result from the flushing.

Take notice that the tax sale of 9243 Highway 11, Cumberland Beach, ON L0K 1G0 has been cancelled as of May 9, 2023.  

A tax sale sale can be cancelled by the Director of Finance/Treasurer at any time before a tax deed or notice of vesting is registered on title. This means a tax sale can be cancelled before the tender opening or even after the tender is closed.

Notice of road closure for Burnside Line on May 9

Notice of road closure

Burnside Line (Maple Valley Road to Jermey Road) will be closed on Tuesday, May 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for cross culvert replacement. 

Local traffic is permitted but there will be no through access at 1489 Burnside Line.
