Township of Severn appoints Jim McIntyre as Ward 5 Councillor

Severn, Ontario: During yesterday’s Special Council meeting, Jim McIntyre was appointed as Ward 5 Councillor for the Township of Severn. The appointment is effective immediately and Councillor McIntyre will remain in office until the end of the current Council term.
Councillor McIntyre has owned property in Severn for over 20 years and made Washago his full-time home in 2015. He has nearly 45 years of real estate experience and has previously sat on various committees and boards for the City of Mississauga.

Township of Severn approves 2021 Budget

Severn, Ontario: At today’s Council meeting, Township of Severn Council approved the 2021 Budget. To protect assets and infrastructure, both now and in the future, Council supported an estimated total tax rate increase of 2.45%. An average single-family home in Severn will pay an additional $69 in property taxes in 2021.
