Notice of road reconstruction on Grand Tamarack Crescent

About the project

Township of Severn will be reconstructing Grand Tamarack Crescent from Highway 11 to Bayou Road. Construction is anticipated to start on or around June 20, 2022 and is to be completed no later than October 15, 2022. Area residents have been notified of this project by mail.

This work will include:

  • removal of some asphalt, curb, and culverts
  • earthworks including stripping, excavation, and rough grading
  • drainage improvements by way of culvert replacement, catch basin installations, and ditching
  • reconstruction of the roadway
  • streetlight replacement

Final grading and placement of topsoil and sod as well as the repair or replacement of any disturbed features will be completed by the Township.

Road access and service impacts

Temporary obstruction of access to your driveway may be necessary at times. If this is required, you will be notified in advance by the Contractor. Waste, recycling, and organics collection for all residents and businesses will not be affected and will continue to be provided by the County of Simcoe.

A short-term closure of Grand Tamarack Crescent may be required during the replacement of the Shadow Creek culverts.  Notice will be provided in advance to affected residents and businesses if a closure is necessary.

Severn appreciates your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this important construction project. Project details and updates will be posted on our website.
