Individuals or organizations can apply for a Council special project grant through the Township of Severn. The Council special project grant offers support to beautification projects or projects that benefit the Severn community or the municipality as a whole.
Projects may include:
- decorations and banners
- gardens
- hanging baskets
- seasonal displays
- welcome signs

Submission deadline
This grant is new for 2023. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. However, starting in 2024, all grant requests will be due by September 30.
Eligibility
Any individual or organization undertaking a beautification project in Severn, or projects benefiting the Severn community or the municipality as a whole can apply.
Funding requirements
Our Grants Requests Policy outlines the funding requirements for Council special project grants:
- applicants may only apply for one Council special project grant at a time
- applications must demonstrate how the funds will be used
- grantees must submit a final project report
- no request limit per project, but the total annual Council special project grant budget is $30,000
- the amount of grant money awarded is based on available funding, which may change from year to year
