Capital Improvement Grant
Community groups can apply for a capital improvement grant through the Township of Severn if the group would like to undertake a capital project on municipal property. This could include building a new park or installing new park equipment.

You can also print the application and submit it by email or drop it off to the Administration Office located at 1024 Hurlwood Lane in Severn.
Submission deadline
All grant applications are due by September 30 each year.
Eligibility
Any group, not-for-profit or charity organization that is building a capital improvement project on municipal property is eligible to apply for a capital improvement grant.
The following uses and groups are not eligible:
- school, athletic or private group trips, expenses or endeavours
- team uniforms and apparel
- memorials
- fundraising events
- political, religious or faith organizations
- appointed boards and committees
- local ratepayer organizations if the grant is for the sole benefit of private members
Funding requirements
Our Grants Requests Policy outlines the funding requirements for capital improvement grants:
- we offer 50% funding for a capital project to a maximum of $10,000
- the amount of grant money awarded is based on available funding, which may change from year to year
- we won't provide funding if you receive funds from the County of Simcoe, Province of Ontario or other grant source
