GSP Group Inc. will conduct a thorough review of existing park facilities to identify strengths, weaknesses, gaps, and opportunities, in consultation with Township staff and the Recreation Master Plan.
Bass Lake Woodlands Park Design and Plan
Severn has secured the services of GSP Group Inc. to develop a comprehensive Design and Plan for Bass Lake Woodlands Park. This plan will provide a strategic vision to ensure the park meets the evolving recreational needs of our residents.
About Bass Lake Woodlands Park
Bass Lake Woodlands Park is a 0.888-hectare local park located at 1956 Pine Avenue. It is designed to serve residents within a five to ten minute walking distance and act as a neighborhood focal point.
Current park features include:
- sport court (converted to an ice rink in winter)
- lighting and small field house
- beach volleyball court
- non-accessible pathways
- open space and woodlands
- toboggan hill
- playground
Project objectives
The Bass Lake Woodlands Park Design and Plan will focus on four key objectives.
We'll engage residents, stakeholders, local organizations, and user groups through surveys, public meetings, and other methods to ensure the plan reflects the community’s priorities.
Facility enhancement and development
Our Project Team will develop recommendations for enhancing existing facilities and creating new recreational amenities, which may include:
- green spaces
- playgrounds
- pathways
- courts and skateparks
The park design will be inclusive and accessible for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, creating an environment where everyone can enjoy recreational activities.
Community engagement
Community engagement opportunities are planned for Spring 2026. Additional details, including how residents can participate, will be released in February 2026.
