Camps will take place in July and August 2026, Monday to Friday in Coldwater and Washago. We provide a safe space for kids to engage in games, outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, and other fun activities that will create lasting memories.

Program information will be available for viewing on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Registration opens on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

Overview of our day camps

Township of Severn day camps for children ages 4 to11 years of age will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with optional before care available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (registration required).

Each day begins with a morning meet-up before campers jump into high-energy games and activities, followed by a “choose your own adventure” block. Afternoons include crafts, exploratory and STEM activities, camp-wide games, and team challenges, along with scheduled breaks and lunch.

The day wraps up with a good-bye gathering and supervised free time before pick-up at 4:30 p.m., offering a full day of fun, creativity, and outdoor adventure in a safe and engaging environment.

How much does it cost for camp?

All day camp programs cost $140 per week for a 5-day week. 4-day weeks (week 1 and week 6) cost $112. Camp is offered for full week only, we do not offer pro-rated or one-day options.

Do you offer extended care for campers?

Extended care is only available in the mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The cost is $25 per week per camper. For 4-day weeks, the cost is $20. Extended care is offered for full week only, we do not offer pro-rated or one-day options.

What ages are eligible for camp?

Township of Severn camps accommodate children aged 4-11 years old. Campers will have the ability to join different informal programming groups throughout the day based on shared interests and skills.
Little Explorers Camp and Adventurers Camp participants must be at least 4 years of age by the first day of camp. All other campers must be between the ages of 5 and 11 by December 31, 2026. Campers must be fully toilet-trained to attend any camp program.

How do I register for camp?

Township of Severn accepts registrations for day camp programs exclusively through Univerus Recreation software (UniverusRec) Create your account in advance to be ready for registration.

Please reach out to our Customer Care Team before registration day if you have any questions or require assistance.

Use UniverusRec to register and pay with a credit card or a Visa or Mastercard debit card. Credit cards can be saved to your account for future payments and refunds.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Using UniverusRec families can opt into a payment plan that divides the program fee into equal monthly payments based on the registration date, up to three weeks before the program start date. Please note that the 4 percent processing fee and first instalment must be paid at the time of registration.

If the camp I want to register my child in is is full, do you have a waitlist?

If your preferred camp is full, we recommend joining the waitlist. A completed registration form must be submitted to be added to a waitlist, and payment will be taken only if a space becomes available.
If you receive an offer from the waitlist, you will receive an email containing instructions on how to accept or decline the offer. Offers that have not been fully processed will expire after 48 hours and will be extended to the next participant on the waitlist.

Do you offer inclusion services at camp?

Although we hope to offer this in future camp programs, inclusion services are not available this year.
