Township of Severn is proud to introduce #RootedinSevern, a new pilot program designed to shine a spotlight on the local businesses that help make our community strong, vibrant, and unique.
From March to November 2026, we’ll feature one Severn business each month through a story on our website and supporting social media posts. Each feature will highlight the people behind the business, what they do, and why they chose to build and grow in Severn.
Whether a business is brand new or has deep roots in the community, #RootedinSevern is about celebrating local success and sharing the stories that shape our Township.
The program supports the Township’s goal of working with local businesses, community organizations, and partners to promote Severn’s lifestyle amenities and economic strengths.
Severn is home to a wide variety of businesses across many sectors, from construction and agriculture to retail, health care, manufacturing, professional services, and hospitality.
These businesses contribute to the local economy, create jobs, provide services close to home, and help define the character of our communities.

For the 2026 pilot year, participating businesses will be nominated through the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC).
Nominated businesses must meet the program’s eligibility criteria, including being located in Severn and operating in compliance with applicable municipal requirements.
As a pilot program, #RootedinSevern will help the Township learn more about how business promotion is received by residents, visitors, and the business community. Feedback and insights from the 2026 pilot will help shape future business promotion initiatives in Severn.
