All parks now open in Severn after storm clean up
The ice storm resulted in damage and dangerous conditions, rendering many parks and trails in Severn unsafe. After thorough evaluations and significant efforts, all parks have reopened; however, the Carlyon Line to Coldwater section of Uhthoff Trail remains closed for public safety.
Open parks
The following parks are currently open for use:
- Ardtrea Park
- Bass Lake Woodlands Park
- Coldwater Fairgrounds
- Ian Chrichton Memorial Park
- Marchmont Community Park
- Mill Street Parkette
- Shoreview Park
- Timberline Creek Park
- Village Green Parkette
- Washago Centennial Park
Washroom facilities have been opened at both the Coldwater Fairgrounds and Washago Centennial Park.
Play basketball or pickleball on one of our three multi-use sports courts (Coldwater Fairgrounds, Marchmont Community Park, or Washago Centennial Park), or enjoy the skate park, dog park, or pump track.

The Township would also like to express our gratitude to the staff who contributed to the clean-up of our parks and trails, ensuring that residents and visitors can safely enjoy these public spaces this long weekend.
