Based on beach water testing results taken on September 2, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) has issued a swimming advisory for Washago Centennial Park beach as E. Coli levels currently exceed the recreational guidelines. The beach will be posted with signs informing park users of the swimming advisory.

Update: Monday, August 31

Due to weather conditions, the culvert replacement and related road closure originally scheduled for Monday, August 31 has been delayed to Tuesday, September 1.

Town Line will be closed south of Warminster Road on Monday, August 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a culvert replacement. Warminster Sideroad will also be closed west of Town Line.

Work continues on the reconstruction of Bayou Road from Highway 11 to Hedgemere Landing. The project includes road reconstruction, sidewalks, drainage improvements, streetlighting, and new pavement markings.

Township of Severn is pleased to announce a new date for Severn Connects at Timberline Park. The event originally scheduled for July 9 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 15.

Coldwater Road (Mill Street to Sturgeon Bay Road) and Mill Street (Eplett Street to Coldwater Road) will be closed on Saturday, August 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the Coldwater Steampunk and Oddity Days event.
