Fire Ban in Effect: Fire Danger Rating set to EXTREME on August 7

Always check the Fire Danger Rating before starting a fire.

The ratings and permitted activities are described below:

• Extreme: Extreme fire danger. No burning of any kind is allowed. A total fire ban will be issued by the Township.
• Fire Ban: When the fire ban is in place, no burning of any kind is permitted. Fireworks are also not allowed.
• High: High danger of fire. Extra care should be taken, with a recommendation of no burning. Severn may issue a municipal-wide fire ban.
• Moderate: Moderate fire danger. Burn with caution.
• Low: Low fire danger. Burning is permitted.

Signs have been placed throughout the community to show the Fire Danger Rating.

These signs are located at:

• Fire Station 1 at 3216 South Sparrow Lake Road
• Fire Station 2 at 3958 Burnside Line
• Fire Station 3 is located at 1 Firehall Lane, and the sign is at the Coldwater Dock (Upper Big Chute Road and River Street)
• Fire Station 4 at 2060 North River Drive
• Irish Line and Ellis Road
