Important notice for tax bill account and utility account holders
Tax bill and water and sewer (utility) bill account numbers were changed in 2024 as we upgraded to a new financial system.
Tax bill account numbers have changed from 8 digits to the 19-digit roll number starting with 4351. Water and sewer (utility) bill account numbers have changed from 7 digits to 10 digits, highlighted in red on the copy of your bill.
You are required to update your account numbers if you pay your tax bill, or your water and sewer (utility) bill at your bank, including if you pay:
- in person at the teller
- using online banking apps
- at a bank machine
- by a pre-scheduled bill payment you have set up with your bank
Numerous letters and other methods of notification have been sent to account holders to request that the account numbers be updated. If you have not yet updated your account numbers, please do so before your next payment(s).
Payments made with the old account numbers will be subject to a $10 administrative fee with each transaction.
If you need assistance to update your account number(s), please connect with your bank or financial institution directly. Our staff cannot change your banking information on your behalf.
If you are registered for our pre-authorized payment plan, no action is required as your account numbers were updated by our staff.
Simplify your bill payments moving forward by registering for our pre-authorized payment plan for your tax bill or water and sewer (utility bill), or both. You can sign-up for automatic withdrawals on the billing due date, or the monthly payment plan. Complete the form below to register.
If you would like to cancel your pre-authorized payment plan, please email our Taxation Officer at least five business day before the next withdrawal.
