Water meter readings are underway

Water meter readings are underway and will continue until June 12.

The next water and sewer bill will be issued on June 30 with payment due by July 31. To receive your bill online, register for an account on our eServices portal.

Through our eServices portal, you can:

• sign up for eBilling to receive water and sewer and property tax bills electronically
• view, manage, and print your bills
• make online bill payments using Mastercard and Visa
• report a by-law concern
• submit a request for service to our Customer Care Team

How to register

Detailed registration instructions can be found on the back of your previous water and sewer or tax bill.

To create your eServices account, you will need the unique sign-up key and customer code located on the back of your water and sewer bill.

Lawn Watering By-law

Township of Severn is committed to reducing water use, loss, and waste. We encourage residents to do their part to conserve water and help protect this important resource for generations to come.

To help conserve water and reduce costs, the Township's Lawn Watering By-law restricts water usage from May 15 to November 1.

If you live at an:

• even-numbered address, you can water your lawn on even-numbered days
• odd-numbered address, you can water your lawn on odd-numbered days

Lawn watering is permitted during the following times:

• 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
• 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Water conservation tips

Here are a few simple ways to help conserve water at home:

• avoid overwatering your lawn (it only needs about 2.5 centimetres of water per week)
• run your dishwasher and washing machine only when they are full
• choose water- and energy-efficient appliances when replacing older units
• install water-saving fixtures, such as low-flow toilets and water-wise showerheads
• use a broom instead of a hose to clean sidewalks and driveways
• cover your swimming pool to reduce evaporation by up to 90%
