Mail disruptions due to strike action by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers
Due to the recent strike action by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, mail service will likely be disrupted.
Please remember, all penalties, interest, and fines still apply, and we can't make exceptions for late payments sent through the mail or those that are delayed due to the postal strike.
The next bill due dates are:
- property tax bills are due October 8
- water and sewer (utility bills) will be due October 31
Water and sewer bills will be issued by September 30 and the payment due date is October 31. If you receive your bill by mail, the bill will likely be delayed due to the strike. Please register for eServices, or contact us to request a copy of your bill.
As noted above, we are not able to make exceptions for late payments.
Register for eServices to manage your bills online
Township of Severn wants to make sure our community has easy ways to receive your bills and make payments. If you haven't yet registered for your new eServices account, check the back of your latest property tax bill or your water and sewer bill for instructions on how to sign up.
Once you're registered, you can easily view, pay, and manage your bills anytime and anywhere.
When a bill has been issued, registered eServices users will receive an email notification that they can view and pay their bill on the eServices portal. Accepted payment methods on eServices include Visa or Mastercard only.

Account numbers were updated in 2024. Account holders have been notified using various methods (online notices, mailed letters, social media, etc.), and have been asked to update your account numbers. Please note, if you pay your tax or utility bill at your bank, whether in person at the teller, using online banking apps, by pre-scheduled payments (e.g., bi-weekly payments through your bank), or at a bank machine, please update your account numbers. If you have not yet updated your account numbers, please do so before your next payment(s).
Also, if you're a vendor expecting a cheque from Severn, please reach out to us to arrange for Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) payments.
