Notice of complete application and Public Meeting for Zoning By-Law Amendment Z-26-04

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Township of Severn deemed application Z-26-04 complete under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13 on February 26, 2026.

Severn will hold a hybrid Public Meeting on March 18, 2026, during the Council meeting scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. 

Details of the application

The purpose and effect of the application is to facilitate the redevelopment of the outdoor pool amenity area, legalize a fitness gym and storage containers constructed/installed without the benefit of a Building Permit, and establish site-specific parking standards. Therefore, the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, as requested by the applicant, is to amend Zoning By-law 2010-65, as amended, to rezone the subject lands from the Tourist Resort Commercial (C8) Zone to a site-specific Tourist Resort Commercial Exception (C8-##) Zone.

How to participate 

All are welcome to attend the meeting or to provide verbal or written comments. All comments will form part of the public record including all verbal submissions made during the Public Meeting. 

Options for public participation in the March 18 meeting include:

  1. register for in-person attendance at the Township's Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane, Severn) by email or by phone at 705-325-2315 x246
  2. submit written comments to the Planning department by email (planning@severn.ca) or regular mail
  3. contact the Planning department by email or by phone at 705-325-2315 x246 to register in advance for the Zoom meeting for active verbal participation
  4. watch or stream the meeting on our Council portal or our YouTube channel

If you feel you are unable to participate by one of the above methods, please contact the Planning department to discuss additional options.

Notification of the decision

If you wish to be notified of the decision on the proposed applications, you must make a written request by email or by regular mail.

Additional information relating to the application is available for inspection on weekdays by appointment between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at our Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane, Severn). Please contact the Planning department to schedule an appointment.
