Notice of complete application and Public Meeting for Zoning By-Law Amendment Z-26-08

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Township of Severn deemed application Z-26-08 (3152 Muskoka Street, Washago) complete under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13 on May 25, 2026. Severn will hold a hybrid Public Meeting on June 17, 2026, during the Council meeting scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane).

Details of the application

The purpose and effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, as requested by the applicant, is to is to alter Township Zoning By-law 2010-65, as amended, to rezone the provisionally approved severed and retained lands of Consent application B-10-25 from the Rural (RU) zone to:

  • a site-specific Residential One Exception ## (R1-##) with the following special provision
    • To notwithstand Section 3.34.2 a) allowing a zero (0) metre setback to the proposed Environmental Protection (EP) zone as the area to be zoned EP includes the required buffer as recommended by an Environmental Impact Study (EIS) and accepted through peer review; and,
  • the Environmental Protection (EP) zone to recognize the identified wetland and establish appropriate buffers as recommended by an EIS and accepted through peer review.

  2. submit written comments to the Planning department by email (planning@severn.ca) or regular mail
  3. contact the Planning department by email or by phone at 705-325-2315 x246 to register in advance for the Zoom meeting for active verbal participation
  4. watch or stream the meeting on our Council portal or our YouTube channel

If you feel you are unable to participate by one of the above methods, please contact the Customer Care Team to discuss additional options.

If you wish to be notified of the decision on the proposed applications, you must make a written request by email or by regular mail.
