Notice of complete application and Public Meetings scheduled for November 19
Township of Severn will be holding two hybrid Public Meetings on November 19, 2025, during the Council meeting scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. in Council Chambers at Severn's Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane) to discuss Zoning By-law Amendment applications Z-25-06 and Z-25-10 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.
Details of the applications
Application Z-25-06: 1826 Foxmead Road
Council will consider the complete application for a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment to change Township Zoning By-law 2010-65, as amended, to rezone the subject lands from the Agricultural (AG) Zone to a site-specific Agricultural Exception (AG-##) zone to permit the following:
- notwithstanding the provisions of Section 3.2 and 5.1 of Zoning By-law 2010-65, as amended, one ARU shall be permitted within a detached accessory building with the following site-specific provisions:
- maximum floor area – 111.4 square metres
- maximum building height – two storeys and 5.8 metres.

Council will consider the complete application for a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment to change Township Zoning By-law 2010-65, as amended, to rezone the subject lands from the Shoreline Residential Two (SR2) Zone to a site-specific Shoreline Residential Two Exception (SR2-##) zone with the following special provisions:
- maximum lot coverage of 17.8%; whereas 15.0% is permitted
- minimum front yard setbacks as follows; whereas 20.0 metres is normally required:
- 8.3 metres – screened porch
- 4.9 metres and 3.5 metres – attached front deck and steps, respectively
- 19.7 metres – attached rear covered porch
 
- permit structures within the Environmental Protection (EP) zone

All are welcome to attend the meetings or to provide verbal or written comments. All comments will form part of the public record including all verbal submissions made during the Public Meetings.
Options for public participation in the November 19 meetings include:
- register for in-person* attendance at the Township's Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane, Severn) by email or by phone at 705-325-2315 x246 (*registration is required to attend in person as space is limited)
- submitting written comments to the Planning department by email or regular mail
- contacting the Planning department by email or by phone at 705-325-2315 x246 to register in advance for the Zoom meeting for active verbal participation
- watching or streaming the meeting on our Council portal or our YouTube channel
