Winter safety reminders

Our Winter Control Team is working hard to keep municipal roads as safe as possible through plowing, sanding, and salting.

To help keep everyone safe, please follow these reminders:

• no parking on municipal roads during winter events (midnight–7 a.m.); vehicles may be ticketed or towed
• do not push or blow snow onto the road — it’s unsafe and violates the Highway Traffic Act
• keep mailboxes, civic address signs, and fire hydrants clear
• keep children away from snowbanks and roadways
• drive safely and adjust for road conditions

• check road conditions on Ontario 511 at www.Ontario.ca/511  and Municipal 511 at www.municipal511.ca
• sign up for weather and travel alerts on Alertable: www.alertable.ca
• report power outages to Hydro One by texting 92887 (WATTS) or using their outage map
