Important Billing Notice

Account numbers were changed in 2024 as we upgraded to a new financial system. If you pay your water/sewer bill or your tax bill at your bank, whether in person, using online apps, or at a bank machine, please update your account numbers. Notice of road closure for Torpitt Road on October 15

About the project

Township of Severn is set to replace a cross culvert on Torpitt Road on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, necessitating a complete road closure north of 1461 Torpitt Road. The project work will start at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 3:30 p.m.

Road access and service impacts

The closure of Torpitt Road north of address number 1461 is essential during the culvert replacement. Traffic will be unable to travel north or south of the project site until the work is finalized.

All relevant agencies and emergency services have been notified of the closure. Severn Fire and Emergency Services has coordinated with Gravenhurst Fire Department, Ramara Fire and Emergency Services, as well as Simcoe County and Muskoka Paramedic Services to ensure that any necessary responses are delivered efficiently.

Digital signage has been in place on Torpitt Road since October 6 to inform residents of the scheduled closure. Notices have been delivered to affected properties.
