Office and facilities closure

Our Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane) and facilities will be closed on Monday, August 4, for the Civic Holiday. We’ll reopen on Tuesday, August 5, at 8:30 a.m. Council and staff are wishing everyone a happy and safe long weekend.

Swim advisory issued for Washago Centennial Park beach

Based on beach water testing results taken on July 23, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) has extended the swimming advisory for Washago Centennial Park beach as E. Coli levels currently exceed the recreational guidelines. Learn more at: severn.ca/notices.

Notice of road closure on Earl Haid Avenue on August 2 for the SRAPO Regatta

Earl Haid Avenue (Upper Big Chute Road to the Severn Falls dock) will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2 for the Severn River Association of Property Owners (SRAPO) 46th annual Regatta.

About the SRAPO Regatta

All are welcome to attend the annual celebration that includes swimming races, games, merchandise, and a free barbeque lunch. Severn Fire and Emergency Services department's Fire Prevention Officer will be on site to share fire safety information and provide demonstrations. The event is free for SRAPO members and their guests. Non-members are $5.00.
