Job description
The Night Patroller will monitor road conditions throughout the municipality during overnight hours.
Responsibilities include:
- patrolling roads to assess conditions such as snow and ice accumulation
- reporting and dispatching staff as needed, in accordance with Township Winter Control procedures and Municipal Maintenance Standards
- performing additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Successful candidates will require:
- valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence
- clear and current driver’s abstract (required for employment)
- completion of a mandatory Winter Patroller Course (provided at no cost by the Township)
Details
The hours of work will be 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. (rotating 40-hour weekly shift). The rate of pay for this position is $26.74 per hour.
