Vote online starting tomorrow

Online voting opens tomorrow, Thursday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m.

Eligible voters can vote online until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, October 26, using the instructions and PIN in their Voter Information Letter.

If you are not on the voters list, you can register by selecting the Register option in the top-right corner of the screen, or by visiting our Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane), Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Advance voting is available to voters from all wards at any of the following locations:

Saturday, October 17, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Township Administration Office, 1024 Hurlwood Lane
Tuesday, October 20, 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Coldwater Community Centre, 11 Michael Anne Drive
Friday, October 23, 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Washago Community Centre, 4361 Hamilton Street

Election Day voting

On Election Day, Monday, October 26, in-person voting is open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the location assigned to your ward:

Wards 1 and 2: Coldwater Community Centre, 11 Michael Anne Drive
Ward 3: Township Administration Office, 1024 Hurlwood Lane
Wards 4 and 5: Washago Community Centre, 4361 Hamilton Street

Checking or updating your voter registration in advance is encouraged.

If you are not registered, you can still vote in person at any advance voting station or at your ward’s Voting Centre on Election Day. Please bring government-issued identification showing your address.

About the Election

Municipal Elections are run following the requirements of the Municipal Elections Act.

In 2026, voters in the Township of Severn can cast their vote in the municipal election from the comfort of their own home or from anywhere at which they can access the internet. In addition to internet voting, the Township will offer in-person Voting Centres for those who wish to cast their vote in-person either by paper ballot or electronically.

Eligible voters will elect a number of different positions including:

One Mayor
One Deputy Mayor
Four ward Councillors (Ward 5 was acclaimed)
School Board Trustees (English Separate School Board was acclaimed)

The next four-year term will begin on November 15, 2026.
