Outdoor watering ban in effect as of May 26 for the Bass Lake Woodlands subdivision
In late spring and summer, local water consumption increases, resulting in "peak days" when the daily demand reaches its highest point of the year.
While our water system is designed to manage these peak demands, the water infrastructure (well #2) required to fulfill this need is still awaiting operational approval by the Ministry of Environment after its replacement in 2024.
By limiting your water usage, we can reduce the demand and ensure our water system remains capable of meeting essential needs.
To ensure the system can continue to meet these essential needs, residents in the Bass Lake Woodlands subdivision are asked to reduce water consumption effective May 26, as the system is operating at reduced capacity until the approval of well #2.
Outdoor watering is prohibited until the approval of the second well is confirmed.
Please do not use your water for:
- watering or sprinkling of any lawn, garden, tree, shrub, or other outdoor plant
- filling pools or other outdoor water receptacles
- cleaning your driveway
- washing or pressure-washing your home or vehicles
- any other non-essential use
Penalties
The set fine per offence is $200. Our Municipal Law Enforcement Officers will be actively enforcing this ban.
Residents will receive hand-delivered notices when the watering ban is lifted.
