The Ministry of Natural Resources Aurora Midhurst Owen Sound District has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Warning for residents in the Townships of Severn, Ramara, Tiny, and Tay, including the Severn and Black Rivers around Washago, as well as Sparrow Lake and Lake St. John.

This statement is in effect until Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

The Volunteer Recognition and Awards Reception will be held on Wednesday, April 22, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at our Administration Office, 1024 Hurlwood Lane.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate the outstanding volunteers who help make our community stronger.

Road closure lifted: Nichols Line between Cambrian Road and Highway 11 has reopened

Update, April 21 at 4:00 p.m.: The road closure has been lifted and the road has reopened.

Nichols Line between Cambrian Road and Highway 11 has been closed for emergency road repair.

This closure is effective immediately. A notice will be issued when this closure is lifted.

The detour is Cambrian Road to Burnside Line.
