Severn invites residents to Pitch In and help the community shine
Annual spring cleanup encourages families, teams, and community groups to get involved
Severn is inviting residents to take part in Pitch In, a community cleanup initiative running April 20 to 26, 2026. This annual volunteer program helps keep Severn clean by encouraging residents to care for parks, trails, and green spaces.
Families, individuals, sports teams, and community groups are encouraged to pitch in by cleaning up a roadside, a neighbourhood, a park, or a trail.
Residents can participate by submitting an online registration form on our Environment and Sustainability page at severn.ca/pitchin.
Participants may use their own clear garbage bags or pick up free bags and gloves at the Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane) during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Pick-up date is April 27
Participants are asked to choose a safe roadside, a park, a trail, or a neighbourhood area to clean, then leave filled bags safely back from the side of the road, near a park entrance, garbage bin on or before Monday, April 27 so our Roads crew can easily find them for pickup. Please note, our Roads crew will only pick up clear bags or yellow Pitch In bags at the location listed on your registration form.
