Township of Severn Public Library Board seeking one new member

Township of Severn is currently accepting applications from individuals who are passionate about their community and who would like to share their skills and expertise as a member of the Council-appointed Public Library Board. 

The Public Library Board oversees the operations of the Severn Township Public Library. This includes all collections, archival materials, programs, and services.

Meetings are held in-person on the second Monday of the month, with the exception of that there are no meetings in July and August.

How to apply

To be eligible to apply, you must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • a Canadian citizen
  • a resident of Severn (own, rent, or live in shared accommodation where you do not pay rent or live in the municipality with no fixed address)
  • an owner of property in Severn or a person who rents property in the Township, or the spouse of the above

Applications will be accepted online until Wednesday, July 30, at 11:59 p.m.

You will be required to submit a resume detailing your experience including three references that we will contact about your application.

Council will review the submissions at their Wednesday, August 13 Council meeting. If an applicant is selected, Council will then appoint the new member to the Board.
