Wainman Line reopens to traffic on November 18
Township of Severn has reopened Wainman Line to traffic as of Tuesday, November 18 at 1:00 p.m. This culvert replacement project has required a long-term road closure, which began in September 2024.
In summary, this work has included:
- deep excavation and moving of materials
- replacement of the existing culvert
- installation of new retaining walls and remediation of the water channel
A base asphalt road surface has been completed, which allows the road to be opened to traffic.
Final project work to be completed in the spring
In spring 2026, crews will return to complete the final curb and gutter installation, surface asphalt paving, and final site restoration.
