Watermain break in the John Street area of Coldwater

Public Works is responding to a watermain break near Coldwater Public School on John Street. The affected area includes George Street, part of John Street, and a small section of Firehall Lane (approximately 28 users).

Repairs are in progress. Water service should be restored later this evening or early tomorrow. The school currently has no water, but we’ve provided water for their needs and are coordinating closely with the school board.

Residents may experience discoloured water, low pressure, or temporary loss of water. Running cold taps for a few minutes usually clears discolouration. There is no boil water advisory at this time.

Affected customers would have received a hand-delivered notice from Severn’s Water and Wastewater Department about this service impact. An additional hand-delivered notice will be distributed when service resumes.
