Welcome to Severn initiative helps new residents connect with services and programs

Township of Severn is making it easier for new residents to feel connected and informed through its Welcome to Severn initiative, a customer-focused program designed to support individuals and families as they settle into the community.

The initiative features a dedicated webpage, a Welcome Guide, and a range of print materials available for pickup at the Township’s Administration Office. Together, these resources are designed to help new residents learn about municipal services and programs available to them.

The Township’s Customer Care Team has experienced an increase in inquiries from new residents seeking general information about living in Severn. The Welcome to Severn resources respond directly to this need by offering clear guidance on available Township services.

“It can be daunting to know where to start when you move to a new community,” said Mayor Mike Burkett. “We want our residents to know that we’re here to help them get acquainted with the Township. Making sure new residents feel welcomed, connected, and informed about what Severn has to offer is important to us."

The Welcome to Severn initiative supports the Township’s strategic direction to enhance customer service and improve access to information for residents at every stage of life.

Residents can pick up their welcome package at the Township of Severn Administration Office, located at 1024 Hurlwood Lane, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
