Township of Severn offers a variety of grants and funding opportunities to support community groups, not-for-profit organizations, and charitable organizations that help enhance the well-being and quality of life of Severn residents. Applications for our annual Community Grant Program can now be submitted online. To be considered by Council this year, applications must be received by September 30.

Update August 20, 2026: Based on beach water samples collected on August 20, 2026, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is requesting that Washago Centennial Park Beach remain posted with swim advisory signs as E. Coli levels currently exceed the recreational guidelines.

Construction is now underway on South Sparrow Lake Road as part of the Township of Severn’s ongoing investment in local infrastructure. The project will improve drainage, road surface conditions, and safety, including the addition of paved shoulders and other road upgrades.

Town Line will be closed between 2169 and 2165 on Wednesday, August 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a culvert replacement. This work is under the management of the Township of Oro-Medonte.

E. coli levels are now within recreational water quality guidelines, and the beach is considered safe for swimming. Advisory signs previously posted at the beach will be removed.

As the due date falls on a Saturday, pre-authorized payments will be withdrawn on Monday, August 10. Payments received up to and including Monday, August 10 will not incur late fees. Township of Severn celebrated the installation of three new SaveStations during a grand opening and ribbon-cutting event held at the Coldwater Fairgrounds on Wednesday, July 29.
