The Seasonal Load Restrictions By-law restricts loads on most Township roads to a maximum of five tonnes per axle in the spring starting on or around March 1, and are in effect until the end of May. To allow for a return to regular activities, Severn's Public Works department have inspected road conditions and determined that Seasonal Load Restrictions can be lifted ahead of schedule on May 12.
Division Road West (Wainman Line to Fairgrounds Road) will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, April 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. No through traffic will be permitted due to paving operations. The detour route is Wainman Line to Highway 12 or Fairgrounds Road to Highway 12.
The Ministry of Natural Resources Aurora Midhurst Owen Sound District is advising area residents that a Flood Warning is in effect for residents in Severn and Ramara Township, in the area of the Severn and Black Rivers as well as Sparrow Lake within the Aurora Midhurst Owen Sound District until Friday, May 2, 2025.
Water and wastewater (sewer) bills were issued to customers in March with a payment due date of April 30. This first bill of the year reflects the 2025 water and wastewater user rates.
