Stay active, meet new people and discover new ways to connect with your community.
Stay Active Stay Connected is a free community recreation initiative for adults 55+ in Severn. The program is designed to support healthy aging by creating more opportunities to stay active, learn new skills, meet others, and participate in community life.
Something for everyone
Stay Active Stay Connected will offer a variety of free activities and opportunities throughout the year.
Programming will include structured activities such as: fitness and movement, guest speakers, and workshops and learning opportunities
There will also be more casual opportunities to connect with others through activities, games, and social time.
There is no membership or long-term commitment. Residents can choose the activities and opportunities that interest them and participate in the way that works best for them.
Borrow recreation equipment for free
Stay Active Stay Connected will also include a free lending library, giving residents access to recreation equipment and other resources to use outside scheduled programs.
Planned items include snowshoes, pickleball equipment, fitness equipment, puzzles, books, iPads for technology learning and more.
Information about available equipment and how to borrow items will be shared as the program develops.

Help shape the program
Stay Active Stay Connected is intended to grow with the interests and needs of the community. Participant ideas and feedback will help shape future activities, workshops, and recreation opportunities.
