Bayou Road closure on October 1: Reconstruction project nearing completion

Bayou Road will be temporarily closed from Grand Tamarack Crescent to Hedgemere Landing on Thursday, October 1 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. as contractors lay the final layer of asphalt (the smooth, finished driving surface).

Traffic will be directed onto Grand Tamarack Crescent, and road users will be able to get from Bayou Road to Cumberland Road. 

Access to properties within the closure area may be temporarily restricted while work is underway.

Residents and motorists are asked to:

• plan an alternate route and follow all posted signage
• avoid entering or travelling through the construction zone unless directed by construction personnel
• use caution around construction vehicles, equipment, and workers

Sidewalks are now in place, and personnel will be on site with work areas clearly marked to help students and other road users navigate the area safely. Safety remains a top priority while this work is completed. Please remind children to follow posted signage and directions from construction personnel when walking to and from school.
