Voter Information Letters were mailed on September 25 to eligible electors on the Township of Severn’s Voters’ List. Your letter includes voting instructions and how to obtain assistance if needed.

Severn residents can choose the voting option that works best for them:

online voting: October 15 to 26
in-person advance voting: October 17, 20 and 23
Election Day: Monday, October 26

Check your letter and visit severn.ca/elections for voting times, locations, and details.

If you don’t receive your letter by October 9, or need to update your information, email the Election Team or call 705-325-2315.

Register to vote

If you have not yet registered to vote, you can check or update your Voters’ List information at severn.voterservices.ca up to and on Election Day, or visit our Administration Office at 1024 Hurlwood Lane to register in person.

If you do not register in advance, you can also vote in person at an advance voting station or on Election Day. Please bring government-issued identification that shows your address. Find voting times and locations on our Election page.

About the Election

Municipal Elections are run following the requirements of the Municipal Elections Act.

Eligible voters will elect a number of different positions including:

One Mayor
One Deputy Mayor
Four ward Councillors (Ward 5 was acclaimed)
School Board Trustees (English Separate School Board Trustee was acclaimed)

The next four-year term will begin on November 15, 2026.
