Notice of road work: Foxmead Road, Riverdale Drive, Crescent Bay Road, Sturgeon Bay Road/Gray Street, Avery Lane, and Woodrow Road

About this project

Township of Severn is undertaking asphalt resurfacing and culvert replacements beginning May 12, 2025 in the areas of:

• Foxmead Road (from Town Line to Burnside Line)
• Riverdale Drive
• Crescent Bay Road
• Avery Lane
• Sturgeon Bay Road / Gray Street (Sheridan Drive to Anderson Line)
• Woodrow Road (Reservoir Road to Lower Big Chute Road)

This infrastructure project will improve the quality of the road for drivers. The work is expected to be complete in Summer 2025.

Impacts to road users and residents

To complete the asphalt resurfacing and road crossing culvert replacement, daytime single-lane restrictions will be in place as required. These will be managed using signage and flag persons. At the end of each workday, the road will reopen as two lanes.

Short duration road closures may be needed for the installation of cross culverts. Notice of road closures will be posted in advance on our website and signage posted in the project area.

Access to private driveways and entrances will be maintained. At times, the work area will be gravel before paving which will result in temporary uneven road surfaces.
