South Sparrow Lake Road paving to begin on November 10

Construction continues on South Sparrow Lake Road as part of the Township of Severn’s ongoing investment in local infrastructure. Culvert work, ditching, and road widening are complete. Crews are now preparing for paving, which will begin on November 10.

This project will improve drainage, road surface conditions, and safety, including the addition of paved shoulders and other road upgrades, and implements recommendations from the Township’s Transportation Master Plan. 

Construction details

• Date: November 10 and 11
• Location: Approximately 1.7 kilometres of South Sparrow Lake Road
• Traffic impacts: Temporary lane closures, reductions, and traffic control measures will be in place throughout paving
• Detours: Road users should plan for delays and use Cambrian Road, Nichols Line, and Hwy 11 as alternate routes

Access to properties will be maintained throughout the work. Motorists are asked to use caution when travelling through the construction area and to follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.
