About your instructors

Katie began doing yoga over 25 years ago as a core part of movement practice in theatre school, which also included Pilates, Calisthenics, Feldenkrais modern dance conditioning and Alexander Technique. Katie has since developed her own personal practice that led to becoming a certified Registered Yoga Teacher with Reflections Yoga Studio in New York City. Katie has instructed yoga full-time at studios and clinics throughout Orillia and Barrie, and maintained a handful of private students while working with off-ice hockey training at Next Level Sports Performance. After co-owning a local studio in Orillia Katie pursued a Masters Degree in Movement: Teaching and Directing at Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England. Katie's style of yoga became less about specific poses and sequences and more about holistic movement and adaptability to facilitate the success of each individual body. Her classes encourage fun, discovery and experimentation.

Sara joined her first yoga class at her local community centre when she was 16 and instantly loved it. Her first instructor was an older adult, who showed her that yoga can be for anyone, any body type, and that you can start at any time in your life. She practiced yoga through three pregnancies and it was the first activity she returned to after giving birth. After retiring from her career as a registered massage therapist she finally took the plunge to take her yoga instructors course and share her passion that yoga is for everyone. Sara started teaching classes at a martial arts academy to help the athletes improve their flexibility. She likes to keep her classes casual and help everyone discover their own yoga path to strengthening muscles and gaining flexibility with the end goal of aging gracefully.

Diana is a Certified Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor and Dance teacher. She loves nature and staying active and is committed to helping you have fun while exercising.

With Diana's DK Dance class you won't even notice you're exercising, because you'll be having so much fun. Diana's class is beginner friendly and includes Jazz, disco, hip-hop, and Latin vibes. Steps will be taught beforehand to make the experience more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

The new Introduction to Free Weights class is perfect for beginners! Whether you prefer standing, sitting in a chair, or using a mat on the floor, Diana will offer flexibility to suit your comfort level and ability. All fitness levels welcome!

Alex is a passionate children’s art instructor with over 15 years of experience working with kids. With a love for arts, crafts, and all things hands-on, Alex believes creativity thrives when children are free to explore, experiment, and—most importantly—get messy.

As the owner of Tiny Fun Parties, Alex brings engaging, interactive crafting experiences to parties and workshops, making art accessible and exciting for kids of all ages. Whether painting, sculpting, or diving into mixed-media projects, Alex’s classes focus on fun, self-expression, and creative confidence.

With an energetic and encouraging approach, Alex fosters a space where young artists can unleash their imaginations, embrace the creative process, and take pride in their unique masterpieces.
