Notice of holiday office closure
Our Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane) will close at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, for the holiday season. The office will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
Please be aware that requests for building inspections, non-emergency services, and voicemails left during the closure will be processed in the order they were received, starting January 5, 2026, and will be addressed as promptly as possible.

Due to current and forecasted weather conditions that may pose a risk to public safety, the Township of Severn declared a Significant Weather Event under Regulation 239/02 of the Municipal Act on December 28, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
During a Significant Weather Event, all roadways and sidewalks are considered to be in a state of repair and may be unsafe to use.

This declaration will remain in effect until further notice.

The Washago Community Centre outdoor rink and the Bass Lake Woodlands Park (1956 Pine Avenue) are open during the winter (weather dependent).
Please follow these guidelines to ensure the rink remains open for use:
Use of the rinks is at your own risk. You voluntarily assume all risk associated with any sport or event. Township of Severn does not accept responsibility for any related risks or injuries.

We need volunteers for the Bass Lake Woodlands Park and Washago Community Centre outdoor rinks. Volunteers must be able to work outdoors in the cold and be available weeknights and weekend nights. Training is provided. The outdoor rinks are volunteer-dependent, meaning that they can't exist without community members willing to support them.
