Paying Your Bill
Learn how to pay your water and sewer bill to the Township of Severn. You can set up a pre-authorized payment plan and paperless billing to make paying your bills more convenient.

Payment methods
You can pay your water and sewer bill using any of the following methods.
Online and telephone banking |
You can pay your water and sewer bill through online banking. You will need to add your utility account to your online banking bill payments by searching for “Severn.” |
In person |
You can pay your water and sewer bill in person at the Administration Office located at 1024 Hurlwood Lane in Severn. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can pay with cash, debit or cheque. After-hours paymentsYou can also place your utility payment in the after-hours drop box located outside the front of the Administration Office. |
By mail |
You can pay your water and sewer by mail. Please make your cheque payable to Township of Severn and mail to: Township of Severn |
At your bank |
You can pay your water and sewer bill at your bank. Visit your bank branch to make the payment. |
Pre-authorized payment plan
Pre-authorized payment plans allow you to set up automatic withdrawals from your account in order to pay your water and sewer bill.
Complete the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan Application
Please indicate your preferred payment plan option in the agreement.
Due date payment plan |
If you select the due date payment plan, the amount owing will automatically be withdrawn on the payment due date. Due dates are found on your water and sewer bill. |
Monthly payment plan |
If you select the monthly payment plan, a third of your quarterly base charge will be withdrawn on the last business day of each month. The final third withdrawal will be on the due date for your billing cycle. Any additional usage changes will be added to the third withdrawal amount for each quarter. |
Late penalties
If we don't receive your payment by the appropriate due date, a 5% penalty will be added. We will send you a past due notice with the new balance and indicate a date in which the outstanding balance will be added to the property tax account. The penalty/interest will be added at 1.25% per month.
Paperless billing
Receive your property tax bill electronically. Once you register, you will no longer receive a paper copy of your property tax bill in the mail.
Register for electronic billing
In order to register, you will need to provide your:
- email address
- most recent tax bill
- roll number (this is a 19-digit number found on your tax bill)
- PIN (9-digit number found on your tax bill)
After you finish the registration process, you will receive an email from Township of Severn. You need to select the link in the email to validate your information and then you can set up your property tax or utility paperless billing.
