Notice of construction: South Sparrow Lake Road reconstruction now underway

Construction is now underway on South Sparrow Lake Road as part of the Township of Severn’s ongoing investment in local infrastructure.

This project will improve drainage, road surface conditions, and safety, including the addition of paved shoulders and other road upgrades and implements recommendations from the Township’s Transportation Master Plan. 

Local residents were advised of the upcoming construction through a hand-delivered notice earlier this summer, which provided information about the planned work, anticipated construction timeline, and potential impacts.

Construction details

• Timeline: August 2026 to November 2026
• Location: Approximately 1.6 to1.7 kilometres of South Sparrow Lake Road
• Traffic impacts: Temporary lane reductions and traffic control measures will be in place throughout construction

Access to properties will be maintained throughout construction. Motorists are asked to use caution when travelling through the construction area and to follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.
