TAKE NOTICE THAT the Township of Severn will be holding a hybrid Statutory Public Meeting on May 6, 2026, in the Council Chambers at the Township’s Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane) to consider the following Township-initiated Zoning By-law Amendment under Sections 22 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.

The Ministry of Natural Resources Aurora Midhurst Owen Sound District has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Warning for residents in north Simcoe County, being the Townships of Severn, Ramara, Tiny, and Tay and including, the area of the Severn and Black Rivers around Washago, as well as Sparrow Lake and Lake St. John.
The road closure was lifted on April 20: Burnside Line between Maple Valley Road and Jermey Road is closed due to flooding, effective immediately until further notice.

Update April 20, 2026: The road closure issued on April 14 has been lifted. Hampshire Mills Line between Cambrian Road and Maple Valley Road has been closed due to flooding. This closure is effective immediately until further notice. The detour is via Telford Line or Carlyon Line.
