Township of Severn has launched a Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) Program to learn more about the needs, challenges and opportunities facing local businesses. Through interviews and an online survey, the Township will gather feedback to help support local business growth and guide future economic development planning.

To support a return to regular activities, Severn’s Public Works department has inspected road conditions and determined that the Seasonal Load Restrictions implemented on March 9 can be lifted ahead of schedule, effective May 1.

Parks Canada will be carrying out important maintenance work at Lock 43 – Swift Rapids from Monday, April 27, at 8:00 am until Friday, May 1, at 5:00 pm. This work involves the installation and testing of key infrastructure using crane equipment, which may pose safety hazards in the area.

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Township of Severn will be holding a hybrid Statutory Public Meeting on May 6, 2026, in the Council Chambers at the Township’s Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane) to consider the following Township-initiated Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment under Sections 22 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.
