Township of Severn is pleased to announce a new date for Severn Connects at Timberline Park. The event originally scheduled for July 9 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 15.
Coldwater Road (Mill Street to Sturgeon Bay Road) and Mill Street (Eplett Street to Coldwater Road) will be closed on Saturday, August 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the Coldwater Steampunk and Oddity Days event.

Township of Severn announces the upcoming retirement of Chief Administrative Officer Laurie Kennard, following an accomplished 36-year career that includes more than seven years of dedicated service as Severn’s CAO. Kennard will begin her well-earned retirement in December 2026.

Work continues on the reconstruction of Bayou Road from Highway 11 to Hedgemere Landing. The project includes road reconstruction, sidewalks, drainage improvements, streetlighting, and new pavement markings.
Township of Severn offers a variety of grants and funding opportunities to support community groups, not-for-profit organizations, and charitable organizations that help enhance the well-being and quality of life of Severn residents. Applications for our annual Community Grant Program can now be submitted online. To be considered by Council this year, applications must be received by September 30.
Update August 20, 2026: Based on beach water samples collected on August 20, 2026, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is requesting that Washago Centennial Park Beach remain posted with swim advisory signs as E. Coli levels currently exceed the recreational guidelines.
