The Ministry of Natural Resources Aurora Midhurst Owen Sound District has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Watch for residents in the Townships of Severn, Ramara, Tiny, and Tay and including the area of the Severn and Black Rivers around Washago, as well as Sparrow Lake and Lake St. John.
As required under Certificate of Approval No. 3-1081-83-006, dated November 18, 1983, the Township of Severn is providing notice that the Washago Waste Stabilization Pond will be partially discharged starting April 11, 2026.

Water and wastewater (sewer) bills were issued to customers in March with a payment due date of April 30. This first bill of the year reflects the 2026 water and wastewater user rates.
