Townships of Severn, Oro-Medonte, Ramara, and the City of Orillia are in the process of updating the Couchiching Community Safety and Well-Being Plan, and we invite you to share your thoughts by completing the online survey before May 9.
Township of Severn cancelled the State of Emergency declaration as of April 11.The Significant Weather Event declaration remains in effect to ensure public safety.
Burnside Line (from Maple Valley Road to Jeremy Road) and Maple Valley Road (from Carlyon Line to Hampshire Mills Line) have been closed due to flooding.
Hampshire Mills Line (Maple Valley Road to Cambrian Road) has been closed as of 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17 due to flooding. This closure will remain in effect until further notice.
The road closure issued on March 13 for Wilson Point Road (Drinkwater Drive to Wilson Point Road South) has been lifted as of March 27.
Coldwater Road to Mill Street in Coldwater will be closed on Monday, March 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the Coldwater Legion St. Patrick's Day parade.
Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and organizations, free public skating at the Coldwater Community Centre (11 Michael Anne Drive) is being offered during March Break.

Township of Severn is developing a Master Plan for the Coldwater Fairgrounds. Members of the public are invited to attend a second drop-in public open house on March 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Coldwater Community Centre.
Confederation Drive (Pine Avenue to Wainman Line) will be closed on Thursday, March 6 starting at 9:00 a.m. for installation of a streetlight. The work is expected to be complete by 5:00 p.m.
