The Washago Santa Claus parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, at 5:00 p.m. The event will include a rolling closure of Muskoka Street (Ramsay Street to 3394 Muskoka Street) from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Severn is seeking highly organized and enthusiastic individuals to join our 2026 Summer Day Camp Team. These staff will support the planning, development, and delivery of the Summer Day Camp Program, as well as the Severn Park Adventures drop-in program.

Our Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane, Severn) will be closed on Friday, December 5, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for a staff event. The Coldwater Community Centre (11 Michael Anne Drive) and Washago Community Centre (4361 Hamilton Street) will be closed from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Armand Avenue to 2700 Cumberland Road will be subject to rolling closures on Sunday, December 7, from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the fifth annual Westshore Santa Claus parade. The parade staging area on Buena Vista Drive (Azcona Avenue to Armand Avenue) will be closed from 1:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
Brick Pond Road and Wyley Street to Gray Street and to Coldwater Road will be subject to rolling closures on Saturday, December 6, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for the Coldwater Santa Claus parade. Join the Coldwater Lions Club, local schools, Township of Severn Council, community members, and neighbours in celebration of the holiday season. All are welcome to attend.
County of Simcoe Paramedic Services annual Food and Toy Drive donations can be made virtually or by dropping off new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items at locations across Simcoe County, including three locations in Severn, until December 21, 2025.
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Township of Severn deemed application Z-25-14 complete under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13 on November 17, 2025. Severn will hold a hybrid Public Meeting on December 10, 2025, during the Council meeting scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
Township of Severn has reopened Wainman Line to traffic as of Tuesday, November 18, at 1:00 p.m. This culvert replacement project has required a long-term road closure, which began in September 2024.
A reminder that winter parking restrictions will be in effect from December 1 to March 31. These restrictions are regulated through our Parking By-law. Please note, starting December 1, parking is not allowed on any road between the hours of 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Vehicles may be ticketed or towed regardless of snow-clearing operations and weather conditions.
