Road closures will be in place from 4343 Hamilton Street to the corner of County Road 169 starting Tuesday, June 30, at 12:00 p.m., until Thursday, July 2, at 9:00 a.m., for Canada Day celebrations. The event will include a rolling closure of Muskoka Street (Ramsay Street to 3394 Muskoka Street) from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on July 1 for the parade.

Coldwater Road (Mill Street to Sturgeon Bay Road) and Mill Street from east of Eplett Street to Coldwater Road will be closed for the Coldwater Pride Market on Saturday, June 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Fire Danger Rating in Severn has been set to MODERATE. Please burn with caution, as conditions can change quickly, even with the recent rain and forecasted cooler temperatures. Never leave a fire unattended.

The following roads will be closed on June 11 for cross culvert replacement: Stockdale Road at Brennan Line from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Telford Line south of Cambrian Line from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be no through traffic at the work areas during the closures. Local access will be maintained on either side of the closure, but vehicles will not be able to travel through the culvert replacement sites.

Township of Severn will be completing ditching work on Shoreview Drive, Treeline Drive, and Sandcastle Court from June 15 to June 19, 2026. Work will take place daily from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Improvements will help water drain from the road into the ditch system and move more easily through the storm drainage system.

The Township is creating a concept design for a new waterfront park on Port Severn Road, along the shoreline of Little Lake. The future park is being planned as a passive park, with a focus on low-impact recreation, natural features, accessibility, and spaces where residents and visitors can relax, gather, enjoy nature, and connect with the character of Port Severn.

On June 3, 2026, Council adopted an Official Plan Amendment and passed a Zoning By-law Amendment to update Township policies and regulations for Additional Residential Units across Severn.

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Township of Severn deemed application Z-26-08 (3152 Muskoka Street, Washago) complete under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13 on May 25, 2026. Severn will hold a hybrid Public Meeting on June 17, 2026, during the Council meeting scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane).
