Recreation is at the heart of a strong community.
We offer a variety of recreation programs for all ages and abilities:
Registering for a recreation program
Please complete and submit the recreation Registration form to reserve your spot.
You can register in one of the following ways:
In person |
You can drop off your form and payment at our Administration Office (1024 Hurlwood Lane, Severn) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. We accept cash, debit, and cheque payments. If you arrive after hours place the form and payment in the drop box located to the left of the front doors to our office. You can also register at:

Please call first as the hours of operation of our community centres vary. Payment options at either community centre location are exact cash or cheque. |

If you would like to withdraw from a program and request a refund, you need to complete the Recreation Refund Request. We will issue a full refund in the event that:

Cancellations |
Every effort will be made to make up any cancelled or postponed classes. We will not issue refunds if a class is cancelled. Please note that participants advising an instructor, reception staff or not attending class is not considered notice of program cancellation. |

Anita McDonald |
Anita McDonald has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and began teaching in 2012 after completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training program. She teaches Hatha Yoga using a gentle, meditative approach that focuses on mindfulness, body awareness and breathing techniques that are accessible to everyone. Anita believes that yoga is a powerful tool for self healing, inner peace and joy. |
Charlotte Brocklebank |
Charlotte is a Ontario Colleges of Techers (OCT) Certified Teacher. Fitness certifications include:
Since starting as a swimming instructor at her local pool in 1999, she have been passionate about laying a strong foundation in community sports and engagement. Charlotte hopes to spark the joy of movement in her clients and participants no matter their age. |
Leann Ball |
Leann is a mother of 3 energetic, creative boys and the creator of the Crafty Fantastic crafting club for kids. She has over 8 years experience hosting craft sessions with kids, including 2 years of volunteer work with a local youth organization. She takes pride in creating a happy and engaging environment where kids are free to explore their artistic and creative abilities. Leann's programs promote self confidence in each crafter through fun, interactive S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) based crafts. The craft group works together to support each other, brainstorm, and create unique pieces of art. |
Tawnya Gauthier |
Martial Arts has been a part of Tawnya’s life since a young child. She is coming up to her 40th year practicing and teaching for 25 years. Tawnya is currently a 5th Dan in Shorin-Ryu style of karate and was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame for lifetime achievement award in 2006. |
Maritza Lopez-Calvillo |
Maritza was born and grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico. Maritza graduated as a Chartered Accountant in 1992, and became a Zumba instructor in September 2010, and absolutely loves teaching Zumba classes. The reason is simple, “every class feels like a party!”. Maritza is licensed to teach Zumba classes and she guarantees that you will have a blast.
