In response to requests made by members of the Severn community, Council has approved the sale of decorative street banners that were removed and retired in 2023.
Community stories and complementary visuals bring neighbours together and contribute to a pride of place. Considering that the retired banners celebrate unique and historical locations across Severn, there has interest from our community to preserve these visual representations of our local landscape.
The replacement of these banners was identified as an action within our Signage Strategy and Implementation Plan. The installation of new, vibrant signs throughout Severn is being completed to point visitors and residents towards attractions and businesses, and to promote Severn as a warm and welcoming community while distinguishing the area from nearby municipalities.
How to order a banner
The banners are constructed from thin sheet metal and measure 2.3 feet in width and 4.2 feet in height, with the exception of the larger Coldwater banners that are 2.3 feet by 5.4 feet. Most of these banners were displayed outdoors for multiple years, and many have some damage due to exposure to the weather.
Please complete the online form below to submit your request to purchase a decorative banner. If you would like to purchase more than one style of each banner, you will need to complete an additional form.
Please note, a very limited number of each style are available for purchase.
Decorative Banner Purchase form
The cost of each banner is $56.50 ($50 plus HST). All requests must be submitted by June 3, 2024 to be considered by the members of the Culture and Recreation Advisory Committee. Partial applications will not be considered. Once you have submitted the online form, staff will contact you to confirm the details of your request.

About the updated Severn logo
Township of Severn’s logo features multiple panels unified by visuals that can be found throughout the community. Combined with a vibrant colour palette to reflect all four seasons, it represents some of the key assets that Severn has to offer.
