Notice of boil water advisory

Boil water advisory issued for Goldstein Road from Turnbull Drive to Highway 11

Township of Severn has issued a boil water advisory notice for customers on Goldstein Road from Turnbull Drive to Highway 11. This notice has been issued as a precaution due to limited flooding resulting from a scheduled temporary water system outage.

There are approximately 50 users affected, all of who were previously notified of the system outage. As of 12:30 p.m. today, staff have hand-delivered boil water advisory notices to the affected properties.

Residents and properties in the affected area are required to boil water before consumption. Customers in the areas under the advisory may experience low water pressure or no water.

Please avoid all unnecessary water use. If you must use your water, boil the water before drinking, cooking, or washing. Or, you can use bottled water as an alternative to boiling your water.

To boil your water correctly, using a clean pot, bring the water to a full, rolling boil. Let the water boil for one minute.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Public Works or the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
